→STEP 1 - VISIT OUR SCHOOL
Join our Admissions Director for small group tours of St. Matthew Catholic School on Thursdays at 9:00am beginning September 5th through April 2nd. No appointment necessary. Tours are designed for parents and guardians of prospective students. Upon your arrival, please check-in at the school office. Please note, there will be no tours on the following Thursdays: October 31st, November 28th, December 19th, December 26th, January 2nd, February 6th, February 13th, February 20th.
→STEP 2 - APPLY ON-LINE
Applications are available online. There is a $50.00 non-refundable application fee. We do not mail application packets. If you are a current family, please ensure you click on "Existing Account" tab.
→STEP 3 - CONFIDENTIAL SCHOOL ASSESSMENT
Our online application will request that you send a link to your current school, so that our confidential school assessment form can be completed.
→STEP 4 - FAMILY INTERVIEW
The interview process is our opportunity to bring each application to life. We want to get to know the applicant as well as the parents, and we want you to get to know us. This interview includes, mother/father/guardian AND applicant(s). We offer interviews on specific days, lasting 20 minutes. Once we have received your completed online application and fee, our Admissions Director will contact you to schedule a family interview.
→STEP 5 - SCREENING/TESTING AND SHADOW DAY
- Kindergarten - Screenings are scheduled for the beginning of February. At the time of your family interview, we will schedule a date and time for your prospective kindergartner to participate in a small group testing/screening session. Kindergarten applicants must be five years old by September 1st.
- Grades 1-7th - Testing is scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2020. For applicants in 5th-7th grades, Shadow Days are Wednesdays from 8:10-10:20am. Applicants in these grades will shadow their current grade class. For example, prospective 5th grade students will shadow with their current peers in the 4th grade classroom. At the time of your family interview, we will schedule shadow days.
