The traffic committee is looking for some safety minded parents to join our group and help keep our children safe and the traffic flowing. We are looking for people to help with data entry, email reminders, signage and onsite. You can help behind the scenes or in the trenches, your choice. | Ongoing | St. Vincent de Paul Society at Saint Matthew Catholic Church The SVdP volunteer members within our parish respond to emergency requests for food, clothing, as well as rent/utilities assistance for the less fortunate families within the San Mateo community. Volunteers are always welcome to help bag groceries, deliver food to households that requested assistance and various other tasks. | Ongoing | Parish Lectors Father McGuire and Deacon Shea of our parish are working together to increase the lector corps serving our parish community. The current lector corps consists of approximately 16 individuals. The goal is to increase it to at least 40 individuals. Increasing the lector corps will give additional members of our parish community the opportunity to participate in this very important ministry, as well as relieve the existing small corps of obligations. If you are interested in becoming a lector or rejoining the lector corps, if you have already served as a lector in years past, or if you have any questions, then please contact Deacon Shea via email. |
| Ongoing | Library Volunteer The library needs more volunteers! The library needs help on any afternoon, Monday through Friday and Thursday morning. | Ongoing | Hot Lunch Program The hot lunch team needs your help to continue our 4-day hot lunch service. Earn your service hours and see your children at school! We are looking for hot lunch volunteers to work from 10:30am to 12:30am Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday to help set-up hot lunch trays and serve food. Volunteer one day per week, once every other week or once every three weeks.
