Parking Reminders for Kindergarten Class

• NO PARKING ON ARAGON BLVD.
• Auditorium Lot is PERMIT PARKING ONLY – NO EXCEPTIONS!
• Kindergarten Families Parking
  • K a.m. - drop off - parks in school yard and walks child to class via the lunch tables crosswalk - to the overpass and down the ramp
  • K a.m. - pick up - displays parking permit and can park in the auditorium lot for 15 min. only, or on El Camino Real.
  • K p.m. - drop off - displays parking permit and can park in the auditorium lot for 15 min. only, or on El Camino Real.
  • K p.m. - pick up - parks in school yard and walks child to class via the lunch tables crosswalk - to the overpass and down the ramp
• Please hold small children's hands while walking across/thru parking areas
• NO CELL PHONE use while driving in school parking areas
• RESPECT the Adult Volunteers, Staff and Child Safety & Traffic Patrol

No drop off, pick up or parking on Aragon Blvd., Capistrano, or Castillian

• This will be strictly enforced as school policy
• Students will get an automatic tardy slip if parent parks on these streets (3 slips for this cause = Detention)
• We encourage all parents to use the drop-off and pick-up lines to alleviate parking congestion

Important Parking Lot Information

1. Front lot will be a faculty and handicapped parking only lot.
2. The main school parking lot will be open to allow for parent parking at drop-off and pick-up times ONLY (see diagram)
   • These spots need to be vacated by 8:05 each morning so the main lot can be secured for PE utilization
   • PLEASE use these spots efficiently by trying to get in and out within a few minutes so that other parents can also use them each morning/afternoon
   • PLEASE obey the safety patrol and designed traffic flow in this area
   • PLEASE walk in and out of this area via the Lunch Table area (e.g., DON'T walk across traffic toward the Ramp see diagram)

Other Updates and Suggestions

• Drop-off line will open earlier at 7:40 a.m. to help alleviate peak pressure
• MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENTS PLEASE try to come a little later for pick-up since Middle School dismissal is 5 minutes later than lower grades (this will help avoid bottlenecks). Also, if your child is not ready, you may be asked to vacate the pick-up area and utilize a parking space to avoid bottlenecks
• There is to be NO PARENT PARKING on Notre Dame Ave and the Church parking lot on Notre Dame Ave during 8:15 and 12:05 mass times. It is very important to save these spots for parishioners attending Mass (who no longer are able to park on the main lot). This is no change from previous policy.
• CARPOOL if possible - Helps strengthen the St. Matt's Community, alleviates traffic, helps the environment, and saves $$ (especially at today's gas prices!!!)
• MOST IMPORTANTLY, be CHRISTIAN while driving - Be kind and respectful to adult volunteers and safety patrol children
