Shield the Vulnerable
Over the last several years, The Archdiocese of San Francisco has instituted many different programs to insure the safety of our children. A program called "Shield the Vulnerable", has already been completed by the school staff, coaches and parents. Each parent must complete the session, print out the completion certificate, and bring it to the school office.
In order to complete the online course, please follow these steps:
- Go to the website www.shieldthevulnerable.org.
- Log on and click Adult Signup
- Your Organization
Click Catholic Diocese, SF Archdiocese, Confirm - Fill in every field in User Login Data and Email Confirmation
(make up your own login ID and password) - Training Type
Click Adult Safe Environment Training, click Step 2 - Diocesan Affiliation
Your status - click Parent; Location type - click Elem School; Where located - click San Mateo; Elem School - click St. Matthew; click Step 3 - Mandatory Reporter - DO NOT check any box
- Ethical Reporter - CHECK the 0
- Summary - check all information, write down your login ID and password.
- Confirm License and Confirm Signup to start the course.
The course is straightforward and should take about 30 minutes to complete. Once completed, please print out the certificate and turn in a copy to the school office.
