Scrip
Scrip are like gift certificates that are purchased in advance and used like cash at participating merchants. St. Matthew's purchases Scrip at a discount and sells them at full face value, retaining the discount amount as the fundraising income. It is a simple way to raise money for the school while purchasing everyday items like food, clothing and other essentials, without an added expense.
The Scrip program is the school's major fundraiser. Proceeds from Scrip benefit many of the needs of St. Matthew School.
2011-12 Annual Scrip commitment:
- Each family is required to generate a minimum of $175.00 of profit from Scrip purchases.
- Families have the option to buy-out their Scrip commitment in the amount of $175.00.

General Mills Box Tops for Education
St. Matthew actively participates in the General Mills Box Tops for Education program. Families are asked to clip and save the box top coupons throughout the year. Each valid, unexpired box top saved earns $0.10 for the school and really do add up quickly. St. Matthew earns over $1100 each year from the program. The funds are used to purchase classroom supplies, playground equipment, science lab supplies, and more. Saving the box top coupon is easy --- the box tops are on hundreds of products in almost every aisle of the store, many of which families already purchase on a regular basis.
Ask grandparents, relatives, neighbors and friends to start saving box tops. Clip, save and bring to school - collection boxes are in every class and in the main office. Raffles and contests are held several times during the year - prizes are awarded on a family basis so no need to split between children. If the family wins at a raffle, all children from that family benefit. This encourages the whole family to collect.

Campbells Labels for Education
We all have Campbell Soups in our cupboards at home. Before you recycle your cans, remember to save the labels. Turn them into the school office and help us earn some easy cash for our school.
Auction Dinner/Dance
Every other year there is an Auction Dinner/Dance fundraiser.
