for students in third, fourth, and fifth grades at St. Matthew School

REHEARSALS:

Every THURSDAY; 7:40-8:20 a.m. in the auditorium starting Sept 13th

DIRECTOR:

CHOIR CALENDAR :

(Performances scheduled so far; some are optional*)

• Sept. 13 - First rehearsal on the stage!
• Sept. 17 - First Family Mass
• Oct. 15 - 10:30 Sunday Family Mass*
• Oct. 27 - Sing downtown (tba) for San Mateo's Harvest Fest*, if invited
• Nov. 21 - Mass on Special Someone's Day; 10:00 a.m.
• Dec tba - sing at Sunrise Community across the street from St. Matt's
• Jan. 27 - 10:30 Sunday Mass/Catholic Schools Week
• March 16 - 10:30 Family Mass
• May 1 - Spring Choral Concert; 7:00 p.m.
• May 4 - First Communion 10:00 a.m. (Saturday)
• June 1 - Mass/ Graduation- 5:30 p.m.

CHOIR OUTFIT:

Please have by October 14 Mass, if possible.

• Vests: Reversible blue and black vest (school provides these)
• Boys: Dark pants, black shoes, white long-sleeved collared shirt Both can be found in the Boys Dept in Sears or Old Navy* (see below)
• Girls: Black knee-length skirt ; any material is fine Black tights and black dress shoes White long-sleeved collared blouse from Old Navy; order online or by phone
• *Boys/Girls - www.oldnavy.com or call 1 (800) 653-6289 to order shirt/blouse Click on "Shop for Outfit", then select the Uniform Shirt for $12.50. Click on the "Size Chart" to be sure you get the correct size for your child.

MEMBERSHIP RE-CHOIR-MENTS:

1. BE ON TIME; to learn all the music and be ready to perform with the choir!
2. BE READY TO SING; share your voice and make beautiful music!!
3. BEHAVE YOUR BEST; you're part of a team, so this will help everyone!

At the end of each quarter, awards in leadership, singing and attendance will be given. Parents will be contacted if there are problems with any of the re-choir-ments above.

CHOIR FEE:

$30.00 for all choir music, folder, supplies, vest rental, awards (please make check payable to St. Matthew School)

THIRD GRADERS and NEW STUDENTS:

Parents sign up for a 10 minute meeting Before or after school and meet with Mrs. Barrett about the Choir's activities, outfit, etc.

DUE SEPT. 12
