Resource Department
Our Resource program provides a variety of opportunities to assist our teachers in differentiating their instruction, thereby allowing individual students to reach their full potential.
Differentiated Instruction
Members of the resource team go into the classroom to teach small groups in reading, writing, and math. Groupings are flexible and at teacher's discretion.
Individualized Instruction
Individuals who need support in their curriculum can come to work with a member of the resource team at a designated weekly time or on an as-needed basis. Items include: extended time on tests, oral testing, and modified curriculum.
Student Success Teams
Resource meets with the faculty in an informal assessment structure to define the needs of an individual child (strengths, concerns, interventions). When appropriate, resource facilities formalized meetings between parents and faculty to monitor the progress of students.
Homework Club
Resource teachers provide homework club after school on Tuesday and Thursday to assist students with any academic needs (3:00 to 4:00pm). Learn more about Homework Club.
Parent Education Websites
The following websites provide general information for the public about learning/attention difficulties. Some organizations offer parenting classes which cover a variety of topics, while others feature speakers who are recognized for their expertise in specific areas of parenting and/or health issues. These classes may serve as a helpful learning tool and/or an opportunity to share ideas with other parents. Please take time to preview the upcoming events listed on these websites to see if they may be of interest. As we are not always familiar with the content, we are unable to make specific recommendations. Learn more about Parent Education WebsitesResource Department Staff
